Pre-run oat pancakes
These pancakes have become my favourite breakfast on a Sunday morning before a long run, or in fact any morning before a long run. This recipe provides a perfect combination of slow and sustained release of energy from the oats and protein from the egg that supports muscle recovery after a run.
Purple and pink coloured berries, such as raspberries, are a running superfood shown to promote exercise recovery. So enjoy these while reading the Sunday papers, then get those running shoes on.
