On the first Sunday of May each year, Belfast hosts a Marathon Run and Wheelchair Race, a Team Relay option for 2-5 people, an 8 Mile Walk and a Fun Run.
All events take place from Stormont Estate and finish in Ormeau Park with the exception of the Fun Run which starts and finishes at Stormont Estate.
On the third Sunday of September each year, there is a Half Marathon event which starts on Ormeau Embankment and finishes in Ormeau Park.
**Please note date changes to the 2020 events in light of the Coronavirus. The 2020 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon has been postponed and is now scheduled to take place on Sunday 20th September 2020. As such the 2020 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon will now take place on Sunday 28th February 2021. Official Statement released on Monday 16th March 2020 HERE.**
The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon are pleased to launch their first virtual race. Unfortunately the 39th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon could not be staged on Sunday 3rd May 2020 and is rescheduled to Sunday 20th September 2020. As such a virtual event has been organised in an attempt to keep people motivated and raise some much needed funds for our official nominated charity, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. Details HERE.
