"7 weeks to go until half marathon Sunday.  The race might seem far away at this point...are you struggling with motivation?


Have a think about the mental health benefits you will experience just by getting yourself out the door for a run.


Running promotes chemicals in the brain that improve your mood and make you more relaxed.  Specifically, the brain releases feel-good chemicals called endorphins throughout the body.  Running reduces anxiety and depression and can enhance your self-esteem.


I usually advocate running with someone else but from time to time there’s nothing like running by yourself in your own head space.”
