I have found myself being very busy giving advice over the past week since the taper has started.  This is the time to keep calm and trust your training.  There’s something I do when I coach individuals.  When I run up a very steep hill with an athlete I get them to look back at the hill they have just climbed & instead of focusing on feeling tired they focus on what they have just achieved.  This is what I want you all to do, think of all the months of training you have done to this point, the LSR, the hill sessions, the faster paced runs, the races.  The times you dragged yourself out of the house when all you wanted to do was sit in front of the TV and eat your dinner.   Focus on what you have achieved on this marathon journey so far.  Keep your thoughts positive, you are amazing, you have less than 2 weeks to go until Marathon Sunday.
