#TrainingTuesday update from Stuart Kennedy, Official Marathon Coach for the 2019 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon “Experiment 26.2 Group”
7 weeks to Marathon Sunday. That’s 4 long runs before your taper starts. This is your last big push and the time to do your hardest training.
1: Actively look for company for your long runs.

You might find a new running buddy & also get one of your longest runs done in a group with people that plan to run the same Marathon time as you.
3: Rest & Sleep is very important. Your family and friends really need to support you this month to enable you to recover properly between training sessions.
4: Decide which Gels & Electrolyte drinks suit you best and the best times to take them, that give you the energy return that you need on longer runs. Please note there will be High 5 Aqua energy gel stations and Powerade energy drinks stations available on race day.
5: The end is in sight, make this your best month, have a plan and stick to it. The training you put in this month will make Marathon Sunday a day to remember.
