Win one thousand pounds for your Secondary or Primary School

Following its success in 2018, the event organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon are once again allocating a prize exclusively to schools across Northern Ireland.

Open to both Primary and Secondary Schools in 2019, the school that enters the most participants for the 5th May Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon events will win a huge £1000 for their school!  The runner up prize will be a fantastic £500.

To qualify for the competition, School teachers, staff, parents, family members or friends can sign up through the new MyTicket registration app, for any of the 2019 events which include the Marathon & Wheelchair Race, Team Relay, 8 Mile Walk and Fun Run.  Entrants must complete the name of their school under the ‘Schools Competition’ section when registering to be in with a chance of winning.

The winners will be announced after 5th May 2019 and will be awarded their prizes at the 38th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon Official Awards Ceremony at the end of May.

The largest single participatory sporting event in Northern Ireland is set for a massive year of change with a brand new, flatter and faster route for marathon participants, a new start location on the grounds of the iconic Stormont Estate and history will be made by moving the event to a Sunday for the first time ever.

The event returns in 2019 with a full line up of events to suit all levels of fitness including the Marathon and Wheelchair Race, the Team Relay, 8 Mile Walk and Fun Run, all with brand new improved routes.  All events will start at Stormont except for the Fun Run which will start and finish at Ormeau Park.

Full details on all events can be found on the event website with entries open at www.belfastcitymarathon.com via the brand new MyTicket App.  The current rate is available until 28th February with a final entry deadline on 12th April 2019.
