Volunteer and Support Half Marathon Athletes on their 13.1 Journey
19 August 2016
On Sunday 18th September, close to 3,500 participants will set off on their 13.1 mile journey from Ormeau Park in a bid to complete the 4th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon.
The race will officially start on Ormeau Embankment and finish on the driveway to the Tennis Centre, but we need YOUR help. In order to “run” the event safely and successfully, we need over 300 volunteers to sign up.
“We want you to get involved in our upcoming Half Marathon - if you are unable to participate by running, why not join our team as a VOLUNTEER. There are a number of roles available such as manning water stations, marshalling the route or handing out finisher medals to all participants. You can give up as much or little time as you have free…
As a volunteer you will receive all the necessary training along with a waterproof jacket/vest to wear on the day before being awarded with your certificate to say a MASSIVE thank you from us.” Claire O’Neill, Event Manager.
So what are you waiting for, give up an hour or two of your time and help us make the 4th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon the best event to date. To become a volunteer, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the office directly on 028 9060 5933.
If you are planning on running, don’t forget to enter before our FINAL deadline on Friday 2nd September at www.belfastcitymarathon.com
