Update from Translink for services to Belfast on race day

  1. IMPACT

 

Translink is advising passengers to expect bus service suspensions, diversions and delays across Belfast on Sunday 5th May 2019 due to road closures in place for the Belfast City Marathon.

 

This will affect Glider, Metro and Ulsterbus/Goldline services operating in Belfast from early morning, until the marathon concludes. Services will resume on a phased basis as roads re-open.

NI Railways will operate extra morning services from Coleraine (0620), Larne (0651), Portadown (0710) and Bangor (0715) (serving main stops) to Belfast, in addition to Sunday timetabled services. Passengers are advised to travel into Belfast by train where possible on race day. 

**UPDATE 2 MAY** NI Railways will operate an extra morning service from Newry (0640)

**UPDATE 3RD MAY** Ulsterbus service added from Derry/Londonderry - Foyle Street Bus Station (0530) to arrive at Europa Buscentre Belfast (0720).  This will be a short walk to the shuttle bus at SS Moores to get you to Stormont.

Translink is working in partnership with the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon to deliver special services in Belfast for race participants.

All services are subject to traffic conditions.
