Training Tuesday Update from Stuart Kennedy 23 July

#TrainingTuesday update from Stuart Kennedy Official Coach for the 2019 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon and “Challenge 13.1” Team 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻

“Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the change in the weather. There’s nothing like running in the sunshine 🌞🏃‍♀️🏃🏻

 

Make sure you enjoy warm weather training by doing the following:

 

1: Keep hydrated, it’s recommended that you drink 2 litres of water a day, an extra glass or 2 the day before & on the day of your long run would be good.

 

2: Wear a hat and sunglasses to protect your head and eyes.

 

3: Wear light technical running gear that will absorb moisture and will stop you from over heating. 

 

4: Apply suncream for areas that are not covered

 

5: if you are running for longer than an hour check out our Nutrition partner Framar Health for advice on electrolyte drinks.
