The Jungle provide Team Relay prizes for an expected sell out year

The event organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon are delighted to announce The Jungle, Moneymore as the sponsors for the Team Relay prizes this year.

The popular Team Relay event returns alongside the Marathon and Wheelchair race, 8 Mile Walk and Fun Run on 5th May 2019 and it’s only fitting that The Jungle, the “ultimate adventure and glamping paradise” will be providing the winning teams with a fantastic team building experience.  Based in Moneymore, The Jungle offers an array of outdoor activities for all including Paintball, Tree Top adventures, Segways, Llama Trekking, Archery and more.  First, second and third prizes will be awarded to the fastest Team Relay in each category – All Male, All Female and Mixed teams.  Inclusive of the following:

1st Prize – one nights Glamping and two activities for up to five people including the Adult Tree Top Adventure Course and Downhill Zorbing.

2nd Prize – Two activities for up to five people including the Adult Tree Top Adventure Course and Downhill Zorbing.

3rd Prize – One activity for up to five people including the Adult Tree Top Adventure Course.

The Team Relay event celebrated a large increase of entries in 2018 with approximately 2,200 teams taking part on May Day.  This year a maximum of 2,500 teams are invited to enter, each team consisting of two to five people, with relay “leg” options to suit all levels of fitness (ranging from approximately 3.9 miles to 6.9 miles).

The largest single participatory sporting event in Northern Ireland is set for a massive year of change with a brand new, flatter and faster route for marathon participants, a new start location on the grounds of the iconic Stormont Estate and history will be made by moving the event to a Sunday for the first time ever.  With this in mind, the event organisers would encourage entry to the Marathon and Team Relay events without delay as they are expected to sell out before the final entry deadline of 12th April, with entries doubling from January 2018 already.

Commenting on The Jungle’s sponsorship of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon “Team Relay” prizes, Hugh McCloy (The Jungle) said:

“We are very excited to work with the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon in 2019 as the event undergoes so many positive changes with a brand new marathon and team relay route and a move to a Sunday.  We are delighted to award the winning Relay teams this year and look forward to welcoming them to The Jungle, Moneymore for the ultimate adventure and glamping experience.  Wishing all Team Relay participants the very best of luck for Sunday 5th May.”
