Fantastic support from entire community expected on race day

We are very humbled to hear about all the support and efforts being made by the entire community of Belfast – North, East, South and West of the city as we embark on one of our biggest years to date.  The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon will be taking place on a Sunday for the first time ever and the event has seen a record number of marathon entries (approximately 5,000) who are eagerly anticipating the brand new marathon route on 5th May 2019. 

A massive thank you to everyone involved along the route including many churches, clubs, businesses and our own sponsors and charity partners.  Here’s some of what you can expect on the day!  If we have missed you from our list please message us to let us know as we would love to hear from you.


Knock Methodist Church, Knock Road are looking forward to volunteering on race day and helping make this a special day for all


Stormont Presbyterian, Upper Newtownards are kindly providing tea and coffee for spectators and they are offering access to Church toilet facilities


McQuiston Memorial Presbyterian, Castlereagh Road will be providing music and are looking forward to cheering you on as you pass through the Beersbridge/Castlereagh Road area


Willowfield Parish Church, will be out with their band to support you on the Woodstock Road


Finaghy Baptist will be out to support you at the Finaghy Crossroads with a cheer station and music


Lowe Memorial will also be out with lots of support at the Finaghy Crossroads and also a short distance from their church at 191 - 193 Upper Lisburn Road they’ll providing some refreshments and their Church toilets will be open to spectators and participants


Bethany Church Finaghy will be setting up at their church centre on Finaghy Road South to offer tea and coffee to spectators with water for participants.  Access to their toilet facilities will also be available.


Felons Club, Falls Road will be out to support you with music

Creightons of Finaghy, Balmoral and Black's Road will be out to support and cheer you on

The Asia Supermarket are providing parking opportunities at 40 Ormeau Embankment. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE PARKED BEFORE 7AM DUE TO ROAD CLOSURES IN PLACE  This will be £10 for the day and you’ll also receive a voucher to spend in the supermarket

SPAR will be providing lots of cheer support from their stores along the route

Better will be out to support you across their centres along the route
