Commenting on ChampionChip Ireland’s sponsorship of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon “Fastest Relay Leg” prizes, Glenn Grant (Owner of ChampionChip Ireland) said:
“ChampionChip Ireland is delighted to sponsor the fastest relay leg prize this year as it allows us to showcase our full range of timing services to all the participants in the marathon and relay.”
The Team Relay event celebrated a large increase of entries in 2018 with approximately 2,200 teams taking part on May Day. This year a maximum of 2,500 teams are invited to enter, each team consisting of two to five people, with relay “leg” options to suit all (ranging from approximately 3.9 miles to 6.9 miles). All relay team members can expect a brand new design finisher medal this year for their efforts also!
The largest single participatory sporting event in Northern Ireland is set for a massive year of change with a brand new, flatter and faster route for marathon participants, a new start location on the grounds of the iconic Stormont Estate and history will be made by moving the event to a Sunday for the first time ever.
The event returns in 2019 with a full line up of events to suit all levels of fitness including the Marathon and Wheelchair Race, the Team Relay, 9 Mile Walk and Fun Run, all with brand new improved routes. All events will start at Stormont except for the Fun Run which will start and finish at Ormeau Park.
Still not signed up? You better hurry as there is less than two weeks left to enter. Sign up now at www.belfastcitymarathon.com via the MyTicket App. The final entry deadline will be at midnight on 12th April 2019.
