Belfast Titanic Maritime Festival
12 May 2017
Ahoy there land lovers and seafarers!
The Belfast Titanic Maritime Festival will return from 2pm – 7pm on Friday 16 June and 11am – 6pm on Saturday 17 - Sunday 18 June with a weekend of maritime-themed family fun, food and frolics at Queen’s Quay, the Arc and Titanic Quarter.
Along the quaysides, the whole family can take part in a fantastic range of free maritime arts and crafts as well as face painting, dancing workshops, storytelling, sensory play for under 5’s and outdoor fun and games to name but a few. Enjoy the ‘crazy carry-ons’ of sea life with laugh out loud street theatre a plenty, or sit back, relax and listen to some of the fantastic live music we’ve got lined up!
You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about Belfast’s unique maritime history and to climb a’board some magnificent visiting ships. And why not have a go in the water yourself in an open canoe or bellboat?
Don’t miss the Q Radio Roadshow broadcasting live from Queen’s Quay with live music, competitions, loads of giveaways and fun for all the family.
Sail on down into the Titanic Quarter where there is a host of Maritime activity including a seafood street market at the Big Titanic Pop-Up Picnic, live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, talks, model boats, street art and walking tours!
It’s so easy to get around with a free Maritime Festival shuttle bus, operated by Translink, running between the City Centre and Queen’s Quay during festival opening hours, or hop on board the Wee Tram to take you down to Titanic Quarter.
