Furthermore, at the age of 15 years, he ran the 1983 Dublin City Marathon in 2 hours 52 minutes and he is currently in the Top 40 (in the world) for athletes that have the longest length of time between their first sub 3 hour marathon to their most recent sub 3 hour marathon.
Stuart will be coaching the Experiment 26.2 Group in 2019, all training for their first ever marathon.
“I have a long relationship with the Belfast City Marathon. I can remember watching my father stride down Boucher Road during the first Belfast City Marathon in 1982. I also had the pleasure of pacing sub 3 hour 30 minute runners during the event a few years ago. I am delighted to be the Official Marathon Coach for the 2019 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon and look forward to coaching individuals and groups of runners to reach their goals for the 2019.”
