9 Mile Walk

Time:  9am

Start:  Stormont (Prince of Wales Avenue)

Finish:  Ormeau Park

 

050514jp1marathon020.jpgThe Marathon Walk was introduced in 1997 following public demand.

Set to make history in 2019, the event will be held on a Sunday for the first time and with a new start at Stormont at 9am and finish at Ormeau Park.  The Marathon Walk will be approximately 9 miles long. 

It is non-competitive and is designed for ramblers and hikers.

It follows a similar route as the main Marathon Race, the Wheelchair Race and the Team Relay Event.

Whether you are part of a walking club or want to set a realistic health and fitness goal for 2019, the buzz of race day and being part of the biggest marathon event in Northern Ireland is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

 

Entry Requirements

Participants must be over 16 years old to enter.

All walkers must complete the course in less than 2 hours 30 minutes.

Race Packs

All race numbers will be posted in advance of race day.  Please keep your race number somewhere safe.  Remember there will be NO race numbers available on race day.
