Our Team Relay Event is very popular, with 1,840 teams and 9,200 competitors taking part in 2017.
The Team Relay Event follows the same route as the main Marathon Run and the Wheelchair Race.
It begins at Belfast City Hall at 9am.
The event is open to teams of two to five people and teams can be all-male, all-female or mixed (combination of males and females).
Participants must be over 16 years old to enter.
All teams must complete the course in less than 6 hours.
This event is perfect if you are exploring an interest in running as there are ‘legs’ of the marathon route ranging from 3.3 miles. More often than not friends, work colleagues or schools will form a team and raise much needed funds for charity. The team relay event has assisted in raising over £1.1million for local charities annually since its launch in 1989.
The 2018 route will remain the same as the 2017 event route.

This year we announced the introduction of Early Bird pricing and received a fantastic response.
Whilst the Early Bird rate ended on 31st October 2017, don't worry you can still avail of our current rate until midnight on Wednesday 28th February 2018 .
CURRENT ENTRY FEE (valid until midnight on 28th February 2018)
Team Relay - £110 (non affliliated runner) and £105 (affiliated runner - at least 2 team members of the team must hold a valid Athletics NI registration number)
Plus don’t panic if you aren’t sure of all your team members, the Marathon Office can update these as long as you let us know before Friday 20th April 2018.
