Athletics Northern Ireland is the governing body for the sport of athletics in Northern Ireland.
Athletics Northern Ireland have been official organising partners since its inception in 1981 and have four representatives on the Marathon Management Board. Athletics Northern Ireland are delighted to continue their involvement of the event!
Athletics Northern Ireland are involved in all disciplines of the sport of athletics- track and field, cross-country, road running and fell running- and caters for all ages from 11 years upwards.
The recently revamped website has all the athletics information you need including official results, road race fixtures, organising your own race and initiatives for children to get involved in.
There are currently 60 clubs based throughout Northern Ireland which are affiliated to the governing body. Club details including information on club training nights, venues, times, fees etc. can be found on the website.
Athletics Northern Ireland are based at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast so why not come along for a run either on the track or the surrounding pathways along the Lagan Towpath.

Athletics Northern Ireland are in charge of the ‘Pacing Scheme’ introduced by the organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon Team in 2010. More details to become a "Pacer" or "Run with a Pacer" will be available over the next few months.
