Route information

The 2008 Belfast City Marathon route was developed together with Belfast City Council, Newtownabbey Borough Council, Athletics NI, Sustrans, the Department for Regional Development and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

All events began at Belfast City Hall and finished at Ormeau Park.

Main Marathon route

This route covers the Marathon Run, Team Relay and Wheelchair Marathon.

Marathon Walk route

There are two Marathon Walks - the main walk and the nine mile walk.
