'Running all over the world is a great experience - I have run in New York, Paris, Prague, Budapest and many other places, but there is nothing quite like running in your home City. To hear friends and family shouting for you all the way from the start to the finish line is truly amazing. Our marathon is heading for its 30th anniversary and each year it goes from strength to strength. 2010 saw over 18,500 runners & walkers take to the Streets, the majority fundraising for that cause or charity that means something to them. It is a community event without parallel in Northern Ireland and I encourage everyone to sign up for 2011 - if you can walk, run or even 'wheel' then you can join the team - May Day 2011 .... lets make it an anniversary to remember!'
