Primary Schools Sign Up Now to WIN
With over 2,000 people expected to participate in the Fun Run on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May, we need your help…
The organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon are offering all children aged 4-12 years across Northern Ireland the opportunity to design the 2016 certificate. This year the artwork must feature;
- Strap line “Let’s do it together”
- Landmarks of Belfast
- Elements of fun and enjoyment
- A4 Page Colour
Claire O’Reilly, Event Manager with Belfast City Marathon announced the competition today and highlighted;
“I am delighted to launch the Primary School Art Competition to design the Fun Run certificate. The competition is now entering its 4th year, and with over 3,000 designs collected I am overwhelmed by the support which we have received, especially local primary schools.
Our event is a local competitive event which is organized to encourage people to lead a healthy life through exercise and diet, so we are delighted that this competition can help promote this with our young people.
“The standard of artwork which we receive is astonishing, so as organisers it is very difficult for us to decide so we need the Public to help us. Five designs will be selected by the Board of Directors and will be added onto our Facebook page and partner website Belfast Live for people to vote on their favourite. The design which received the most votes will come in first place and will win the following;
- Assist the Lord Mayor of Belfast and Chairman of Belfast City Marathon official start the race on Monday 2nd May 20163
- Receive 5 free Fun Run entries for friends and family
- Trip to Tayto Castle with transport provided by Translink for 20 people*
