All of our volunteers receive event training to help them prepare for the Marathon.During the event, they receive an official rain jacket and T-shirt. All volunteers also receive a commemorative certificate in the weeks after the event

Belfast has two airports - Belfast International Airport and George Best Belfast City Airport.Belfast International Airport is a 30 minute drive from the city centre and George Best Belfast City Airport is around ten minutes by car.Both airports are well served by local buses.
There will be no park and ride facilities on race day.  Travel options are as follows: Free parking at designated city centre car parks below (details correct as of September 2017): Dunnes Stores car park, Annadale Embankment ( approx. 1.5 miles / 30 mins to race start line, close to Ravenhill Reach on Ormeau Embankment) Belfast City Council car park - Ormeau Avenue (approx. 1.8 miles / 36 minutes to race start line) Belfast City Council car park - Raphael Street (approx. 1.5 miles / 30 minutes to race start line) Queens PEC car park, Botanic Park (approx. 1.2 miles / 24 minutes to race start line) Local bus, rail  and taxi services into Belfast City Centre Walk from Belfast City Centre – approximately 1.6 miles / 32 minutes from East Bridge Street to the race start line on Ormeau Embankment (close to Ravenhill Reach). 
Money-changing facilities are available in most banks and building societies in Belfast.

Entrants can support the charity of their choice.However, it is important that you contact your chosen charity in advance to receive an official sponsorship form.You must tell us on your entry form which charity you are raising money for.

The official charity for the 2018 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon is Mencap Northern Ireland
The entire Half Marathon course is staffed by professional stewards, volunteers and officials from Athletics Northern Ireland.They work together with the Police Service of Northern Ireland to make the course safe for everyone.
All successful entrants, including those who enter online, will receive a confirmation letter seven days after their entry has been received. Online entrants will also receive confirmation of their payment by email (within 72 hours) or post, depending on the information you have supplied to us. Your confirmation letter will include details of your race number, pack collection times and instructions for race day itself. You should allow a minimum of seven days between application and receipt of confirmation letter. Sponsorship forms will also be included in your pack.
No - A pack containing your race number, instructions and timing chip will be posted to you before Race Day. Please ensure the address which we have is correct. NO Race Numbers or Timing Chips can be given out on Race Day and your time will not be registered if you do not wear the timing chip, so please contact the Marathon Office on 028 9060 5933 or email info@belfastcitymarathon.org if you do not receive this by Wednesday 13th September 2017
Yes, All packs will be posted out to the addresses provided on application
If you are unable to pick up your race pack in person, a representative can sign for it on your behalf. They must bring your confirmation letter with them. The management team accept no responsibility of loss or damage to participants pack
The Half Marathon event begins at 9am on Ormeau Embankment and finishes at the Ozone Tennis Centre, Ormeau Park.
All those who take part in the Half Marathon Run receive a commemorative medal.
We operate a no-refund policy. However, entries can be transferred to another participant or 'held over' to the following year with receipt of a medical note from a GP before race day. To do this, you must forward a written request to the Event Manager at the Marathon office. Call 028 9060 5933 for more information.
There will be no Pack Collection as all entrants will receive a postal pack, to include instructions, bib number and timing chip
The closing date for entries is Friday 8th September.  However, once the event reaches 3,500 registration will automatically close. 
The date for the 2018 event has been confirmed as Sunday 23rd September 2018.
Entrants for the Half Marathon Run must be 17 years of age or over on the day of the event.
It is not advisable to send monies through the post.  Cheques and postal orders made out to Belfast City Marathon can accompany entries.
The time limit for the half marathon is 3 hours
