The time limit for the full marathon event is 6 hours.  For the half marathon event, the time limit is 3 hours.
All those who take part in the Marathon Run, Wheelchair Marathon, Marathon Walk and Team Relay receive a commemorative medal at the finish line. Those taking part in the Fun Run will receive a certificate. Belfast Half Marathon All those taking part in the Belfast Half Marathon will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line.
Yes, following the last two years success of postal packs, race packs will be posted out at least two weeks prior to race day. We have two types of postal packs: Standard Delivery - which will be sent out 2nd class (these can not be tracked)  Special Delivery - which will be sent out 1st class (recorded delivery at a £3.50 cost)
No - all packs will be posted out to entrants at least two weeks prior to race day 2018.  Any changes to your address from registration must be sent through to the marathon office - info@belfastcitymarathon.org
All entrants will also receive confirmation of their payment by email (within 72 hours). All entrants who submit an email address with their application will receive a confirmation email to confirm their race number and selected t-shirt size(s).   If you have not received an email within seven days of registration, please contact the marathon office on 02890605933 or info@belfastcitymarathon.org
There are four ways to enter the 2018 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon once registration is open: - Apply online (https://register.belfastcitymarathon.com/ps/) - Download an entry form from the website - Pick up an entry form from your local library or leisure centre (forms will not be available until October 2017). - Call the Marathon Office on 028 9060 5933
The 2018 route will be the same as the 2017 route. The route will be marshalled and marked out for participants. Please see route maps and directions in the about section of the website.
This event is not yet open.  Costs of the event will be confirmed soon.
The date for the 2018 event has been confirmed as Monday 7th May 2018.
Belfast Marathon Event The initial closing date for entries is Friday 30th March 2018. Any Marathon, Relay and Walk Entries received after this date and before Friday 13th April 2018 will be subject to a £20 late entry surcharge (any late Fun Run entries will attract a late entry surcharge of £5). No entries for any event will be accepted after Friday 13th April 2018. No Refunds. All entries are subject to availability Belfast Marathon Event The closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 8th September 2018.  However, the event registration will automatically close once 3,500 people have registered for the 2018 event (regardless of the entry deadline date).
2018 Belfast Marathon Pacers Scheme Following five years of the official pacer scheme, the organisers are pleased to confirm that this facility will be offered again in 2018.  Please visit our 'Get Training' section of the website for more information. 2017 Belfast Half Marathon Pacers Scheme Pacer times are set each year based on predicted times of the runners and this is authorised by Athletics Northern Ireland. The organisers have sourced timing pacers for 1 hour 30 minutes, 1 hour 45 minutes, 2 hours and 2 hours 15 minutes.
Belfast Marathon Event The Marathon Run and Team Relay begin at 9am at the Belfast City Hall. The Marathon Walk begins at 9am - though walkers are advised to wait until all Marathon and Relay entrants have crossed the start line. The Wheelchair Marathon begins shortly before 9am at the Belfast City Hall. The Fun Run starts at 9.30am at the Belfast City Hall. Belfast Half Marathon Event The Belfast Half Marathon starts at 9am on Ormeau Embankment and finishes at the Ozone Tennis centre, Ormeau Park.
Entrants for the Marathon Run must be 18 years of age or over on the day of the event. Marathon Team Relay and Marathon Walk entrants must be 16 years of age or over on the day of the event. There is no minimum age for the Fun Run. However, entrants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Entrants for the Half Marathon must be 17 years of age or over on the day of the event.
Belfast Marathon Event Buses will run from the finish line to the city centre on race day, dropping off at the Ormeau Avenue (close to the Holiday Inn hotel) and Raphael Street, which is a 5 minute walk from the City Hall. Belfast Half Marathon Event There are no park and ride facilities on race day.  Your travel options are as follows: Free parking at designated city centre car parks below (details correct as of September 2017): Dunnes Stores car park, Annadale Embankment Belfast City Council car park - Ormeau Avenue Belfast City Council car park - Raphael Street Queens PEC car park, Botanic Park Local bus, rail  and taxi services into Belfast City Centre Walk from Belfast City Centre – approximately 1.6 miles / 32 minutes from East Bridge Street to the race start line on Ormeau Embankment (close to Ravenhill Reach
Belfast Marathon Event Runners bags can be dropped off at the side of the Belfast City Hall (Donegall Square East - opposite Ulster Bank). The bags will be transported to the Ozone tennis centre at the finish line. The organisers advise all bags to be correctly labelled with your race number.
We operate a no-refund policy. However, entries can be transferred to another participant or 'held over' to the following year with receipt of a medical note from a GP before race day. To do this, you must forward a written request to the Event Manager at the Marathon office. Call 028 9060 5933 for more information.
